This week we are celebrating two new partnerships for The Independent including Galaxy’s ‘The Ripple Effect’ and Henley Literary Festival as well as a review of the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival.
The Independent and Galaxy are thrilled to have announced the launch of The Ripple Effect, a campaign to create lasting positive change for young women.
Launched yesterday with an exclusive new Independent TV series, The Ripple Effect, hosted by AJ Odudu, the campaign will also feature a wealth of inspiring, informative, expert-led articles aimed at helping young women find solutions to the challenges they face today.

This past weekend saw the close of another incredibly successful Montreux Jazz Festival. The lineup, which this year included Bob Dylan, Lil Nas X, Sam Smith, Lionel Richie and Janelle Monae, left festival-goers – and our journalists – in awe of the prestige and expertise of this legendary music event.
The Independent’s Culture and Lifestyle News Editor, Roisin O’Connor, attended the festival herself giving it a five star review. Read what she had to say here.
This month has also seen The Independent become the exclusive news partner to Henley Literary Festival.
The partnership will see The Independent deliver exclusive insights from the festival’s lineup of thinkers to the largest quality digital news audience in the UK, with Independent journalists interviewing four of the festival’s biggest names live on stage including Theresa May, Sebastian Faulks, Gary Younge and Louis De Bernieres.
