US Comscore data for January has been announced, revealing the fortunes of digital news brands*. And it’s a case of new year, new readers for The Independent.
Highlights
- In January, The Independent had an audience of 25.2m US readers, up 28% month-on-month (MoM)
- The Independent had the highest growth MoM of any of the top 10 news brands
- It overtook the LA Times to move up to eight biggest news title in the US
- In comparison, the top 10 news brands in the US increased on average by just 9% MoM. Meanwhile, UK-born news brands were up in the US by 15%.
- Indy100 had significant year-on-year growth – up 57% to 1.7m.
