The 2023 Global Women in Marketing Awards shortlist has been announced, with two finalists from The Independent.
Meena Miles, The Independent’s Director of Global Advertising Operations, has been shortlisted in the Change Maker category. This award recognises women who are reshaping marketing within their firms and female founders disrupting industry models.
Meanwhile, Beth Gordon, Business Marketing and Communications Director at The Independent, is a PR Communicator of the Year finalist. This category aims to highlight the essential role of PR and communications, recognising outstanding female PR industry leaders.
Other nominees include women from Deliveroo, Live Nation, Mastercard and Prudential.
The awards were conceived by Women in Marketing CIC (WiM), a network created to educate, inspire, connect and recognise women in the marketing and associated professions through the cycle of their lives. Launched in 2010, previous winners have included women and advocates from companies including Burberry, Google, Facebook, Unilever, Diageo, Pinterest and WPP.
